Hi everybody,

I was referred to this site from a "font fan". I know this is a hand drawing, but maybe someone out there knows something! This vintage hand drawn RCA logo is the inspiration for our album cover. if anyone knows a similar font i can use to get close, I'll add the lightning bolt with our graphic artist. our name is
" ristband " so the "R" and "A" need to be pretty exact.

So I'm looking for logo work circa 1870-1900 which has a narrow letter and a wide letter stacked on top of each other. (see small image below)

I'm interested in specifically this style as well as general type work from this era, if you guys know of anything off the top of your head that is related, I'd really like to see it! or a link to a previous thread, specific style names, etc..

Thanks!

I'm primarily looking for feedback on name legibility at this point. Being that the type is hand drawn, and the word is uncommon, I'm worried about the viewer's ability to pick up the name. How well does it read, and what do you read? Any feedback would be appreciated.

Cheers,

Jim

Hey guys,
I´m on my 3'rd semester in school and my first monogram/logo assignment was to make a monogram/logo for myself out of two of the letters in my name.
I chose S & K for my first and sirname.
I would love to hear an oppinion about this... :)
thanks!

Font Requirements

Hi, everyone.

I'm looking for a font that renders well on a spiral-shaped path (I'm not talking multiple loops around the center, of course; perhaps a third of a revolution, not very steep).

We did this hand-drawn logotype for Oilily which will now be Qelavi in the US.

What say ye oh brethren of typographic love.

Logos by shape

Hi.

Do you know of any resources grouping logos by shape? I'm working on a symbol that might just be a bit to simple to not have been done before.

Edit: Removed the image.

Hey guys,
I'd like to ask for some input. I'm designing the cover of an indie mag and have gone with Kursivschrift for the masthead. So I've put it to the paper size as it's in the jpg attached, basically just the font type for now. I'd like to know if the spacings between the letters are alright, or basically any input that you guys might have.

The mag is targeted for women aged 20-35, into the indie fashion and arts scene. Keywords that may describe are feminine, whimsical, pastel, artsy, illustrative.

I appreciate any thoughts on it. Thanks so much in advance.

Riz

I've been trying to ID this font for the last few days. What The Font can't ID it, Identifont wasn't much help, and I can't trace the original designer or get a text version to extract the font. A design group said this font was supposed to be 'Garow' but they didn't have a copy of that font. I've searched all the normal foundries and found no reference to the Garow typeface, even after trying numerous spelling variations.

A fellow designer recommended Perpetua as a close match, which it is, but it's not identical.

I'd like to find the exact match. Any help?

Cheers,

KK
