So... I've no idea why, but whenever I type "/" on my keyboard, when trying the font I'm designing, the slash doesn't appear. But then when I type "/" again, and it appears. So, every time I type "/" 2 times, only 1 "/" appears on my screen.
It happens in both FontLab preview and Illustrator. Any thoughts?
Sorry if somebody already posted this, I looked for another post with a solution but couldn't find anything.
why is – in most fonts – the backslash more slanted than the "regular" slash? Is there any reason?
I am looking for an authoritative, informed opinion on the subject of proper spacing before and after the slash/solidus/slant character in professional typesetting.
I need advice on spacing in English, French, and Spanish languages. Opinions are fine, and I have one myself. I am hoping for some professional, scholarly information that goes beyond personal opinion.
I would like to know the font used for the word "TODDFEST" in this image: http://sphotos.ak.fbcdn.net/photos-ak-sf2p/v250/81/58/703761159/n7037611...
I have tried using WhatTheFont.com without success as it identified each of the cut segments in the letter as separate characters. I have also tried Identifont.com and found some remotely similar fonts, but none that are exactly the same.
Any help is appreciated.
