I am running OS X Snow Leopard and now again I a pronlem with certain fonts rendering properly. The characters are displaying as a glyph not found symbol.

The attached file is an example that occured when testing @font-face implementation in Chrome, weirdly Safari was fine. I have also had the same issue in OpenOffice, TextEdit, PowerPoint and at other random time.

Anyone got any ideas?

So I was using my Williams Caslon font to set a book, and decided to use the "all small caps" option. This was to access the (ahem) very cool feature of special small caps figures and parens, to create discrete citations for display quotes.

I tried at first setting up a "character style" to do this, as in that dialogue box you have the option of choosing "open type all small caps". But when I saw the result, I freaked out, because the numbers were too small, and there was no kerning to the colon, and it looked a wreck.

I always preview before I post, and I think I discovered another bug. Even if a link is broken, it still previews blue, thus giving a false impression that it's coded correctly.

  • Main CSS has two validation errors.
  • I think the off-grey text colour (#333) is too light, especially on the grey background. I would just make the text flat black in that case.
