New to Typophile? Accounts are free, and easy to set up.
With the exception of three kind souls—Leland Breedlove, Mark Murdock and Pablo Impallari—who have donated actual cash money, and one brave soul—who wishes to remain nameless for obvious reasons—who is testing the waters of my iLUVfonts cooperative effort, **** you all very much.

You endless antagonism and sour mood will be much missed.

Well, thank you, Hrant and, of course, screw you, Ryan. I just wonder what the hell I’m going to do with the domain name, by Microsoft Registered Vendor status, and eleven hundred lame-ass fonts. Maybe this guy would be interested in buying the concept…

For that matter, he might also like to invest in a Global Digital Rights Management Point-of-Sale plugin that would assign a unique serial number to MP3, fonts and other stuff, pay the rights holder instantly, then use the Cloud to track pirates. Or not: that’s probably a little too “Big Brother” to suit freebooting American tastes. After all, Hrant: YOU think that it’s a pretty good idea, and I don’t mind sharing.
On a third hand, there’s also this screwy idea I have to use cheap plastic parts, flexible tubing, an air compressor and a Stirling engine to cut heating and cooling costs for every new residential or commercial facility in the entire world by at least 67%, and maybe even more…
BTW, what dipwad came up with the “rent it for five minutes” provision to Monotype’s SkyFonts proposal. Wouldn’t it be better to sell EPS comps for, say, a buck apiece, with no minimum purchase—other than the FIRST buck, that is—required? Who knows? Some people’s monthly font expenditures COULD exceed their smartphone bills…especially if there are hot coeds involved.

Thought you were leaving? Don't let the door hit ya where the good lord split ya!

Hey, Ryan!
You gotta milk a swan song for all it’s worth, you know.
Also, thanks, Hrant: my first donation. How ever cool. A few millions more, and I oughta be set for awhile…

You did say measly was OK...
Not for the Apple drone armies it isn't. (Hmmm...)
URW (and later LettError, and I think at least one other outfit, maybe House or Stewart Sandler?) tried that. Dunno why it didn't work (I'm not being sarcastic).
Hey, I just had an idea: put your stuff on the next TypeCon auction.
Smartphone bills: what a classic American swindle. And we thought cable TV and SUVs were the epitomes of highway robbery.

Well, I hope that the next convention is close by. The 1912 ATF Book of American Typefaces alone weighs close to a metric tonne…

I meant the fonts (although if you want money out of it you'll have to make a special arrangement with SoTA, since it's supposed to be a donation, but for something this big they might make an exception).
Location: all I know is it's going to be in the west of the country.
