HELP people ID fonts

When you identify a font for someone, also include how you identified it (book, site, memory &c). That way, you are helping people help themselves at the same time. Two birds, one stone.

Good suggestion. But there’s not always the time or a short enough answer to do it.

And I think 99% of the time the answer would be "Uh, I saw it before."

@hrant: That’s a perfectly valid answer as it lets the asker know that you learned it through repeated exposure and memory. Not by asking the internet. I know you’re not a fan of rote learning but unless you have eidetic memory, that’s exactly how you learn how to ID typefaces. And by you, I mean you, and everyone else (savants aside).
