St. Louis Car Company Builder's Plate Font Type

Hi Everyone:

I am trying to find the font used for the St. Louis Car Company Builder's Plates above.

The Builder's Plates in the photos came from PCC trolleys, which were built from 1936-1952.

Thanks for all of your help.

Given the rather clumsy construction, it's probably not based on an actual typeface. The letterforms are very early twentieth century; it seems to me that Hobo is probably about as close as you could get with an off-the-rack font.

Another vaguely similar I stumbled upon recently:

Thanks for the help guys!

Bomparte's "Dragonfly BF" looks remarkably similar to the Dragonfly that OldNick did for SignDNA
