What the name of the first "F" [left side] of this cover, and who made them?

That’s a typeface known by the generic name ‘Black-Letter’, made by William Caslon. It is shown in a specimen from 1821.
Interesting design! Following Florian’s lead, I learned that Avebury (http://www.myfonts.com/fonts/parkinson/avebury/) is supposedly inspired by it.
