Can anyone tell me a bit more about this? It seems hand-lettered, but is it in a certain style? Are there current typefaces/fonts I can look at for more on this? Thanks all!

All Sanborn maps are hand lettered, although only by a few artists. Many of the 'american' typefaces in the Solotype catalog will have a similar feel.
