Hello all,
My eye told me something like a form of Cheltenham or Goudy, but I'm throwing in the towel. if any of you have a bead on this cap W, I'd be most grateful.

Alex: thanks very much. I believe this is indeed the typeface in question, and the original maker of the logo most have done some scaling (alas).
