Hey, NEVER apologize to me ;) it makes me feel very
uncomfortable (unless of course you've been very rude,
which clearly isn't the case here...) ;)

Sure, but it has to do with respect for peoples time, I wasted yours, hence the apology.

Hmmm... I thought this was going to be easy (uncials
are quite easy to ID) but no luck yet. Check this list
while I work my way down the forum cleaning up the
threads. I'll get back to you later.

Dude, chill! It's summer, I'm completely destressed by
two weeks of French Riviera, this is my idea of fun,
yaknow. Waste my time, no prob! ;)

Check out Railhead Design's
Faerie for all except that leading 'D'.

Hey I stumbled across this forum whilst looking for the very same font! Im a model design student and am making the info booth from Shrek and need the font to use.

I had a look at the Faerie font, and downloaded it and the software to extract it, but cannot get to it?? (Im not that good with things like this, anyone got any ideas or another suggestion for a font?)

Thanks!

This is off-topic, but how did you include an image with your post? Ever since we got this new (improved?) version of the Typophile site, I didn’t think we could embed images in the post, like in the (good) old days. (A not too subtle plea to Yves, and whoever else decides what capabilities we get here. Please!)

Mike, If you take a closer look at the posting date of the post including the ’Shrek’ donkey book image you may notice that it has been posted more than two ( 2 ) years ago.. :) ( On, August, 3rd, ’03.. )

Dav, formlos

Yeah, what’s up with everyone reviving age-old posts!? As if I haven’t got enough to do already! :^D

Mike, regarding the images — I’m just a helpless victim same you are, patiently waiting for this to get fixed. :^/

Yeah, Dav, I missed the old date on that post (dates are a bit small, I’d say), and Yves, I’m glad to at least hear that there is an implied intent to fix this situation. Posting, and staying abreast of new posts by e-mail, was so much simpler before we got ’improved’.

Color me a bit disgruntled. (Does that mean I’d be ’gruntled’ if this gets fixed?)

Rina2012, in reply to your font question, ’Faerie’ is a version of a typeface that was called Kells. Another version you might try is the one by FontBank called ’Padula’.
