Is there a digital version of Chambord available anywhere?
That's not the Chambord in question I think, Riccardo. Here is an example of the old Chambord:
Wow, nice font. (The «original» one I mean.)
Very similar, albeit with shorter ascenders, is Euro Sans:
Chambord was an idea swiped from Cassandre's Peignot.
In fact that incident led to the creation of ATypI.
Interesting, Hrant – I thought it looked reminiscent of Peignot.
So ATypI, what, was created to protect original designs, after this incident?
Sounds like an exciting story.
You could say it was created to increase cooperation among foundries.
Thanks for all the info, very interesting stuff.
The Euro Sans is close.
