Madrid That Dissapears ...

A friend of mine gave me this newspaper review about a book by an Industrial Designer and Photographer, Leandro Lattes, who took pictures of all these kind of Things in Madrid, the city where I live and where I was born.
It,s TRUE and it is SHAME, these all things are dissapearing, regular every-day stores and shops (and a lot of things, you know...) are starting to look alike all over the world. Maybe it is the price we have to pay. I know we must change things, is in ourselves, but ...

That's quite a pity. I love Madrid, went there in February 2000 and would love to return.

I miss the “bocadillo de calamares” from Casa Rua at the Plaza Mayor ;)

Hey Ignacio, this is a funny coincidence, because Leandro is a very good
friend of mine. We used to work together a few years ago...

He has studio in Madrid, together with designer Brendan McCormick.

Thanks for the post, it brings back good memories.

- First Thing: I just made it posting the review, it is a small one but look, here we are talking about it.
- Second: To buy the book, and now with more reasons since I know the money goes to a Jesus

I always liked the ONO stores!
I used to go a lot to the ONE in Fuencarral, before I had adsl, and I remember very clear that I loved the way the ONO logo was shown from outside, they made a very nice pixel version of the rounded letters.
But ... I am not 100% sure, I think this store is closed now, I
