Looking for a nice, editorial Sans for a fashion project. Any suggestions? Thanks!
This is funny; I'm looking for sans face I'd say falls in the same broad category (see earlier post "Pre-War Sans"), but your request is perhaps broader.
My list for this would probably be:
Neue Haas Grotesk
Oh, and Nobel Sans (Font Bureau) is also quite Fashion-y.
Great suggestions. Really love Encore.
What do you think of Parisine? I'm looking for something that goes well with a modern serif face like Modern 216...
I think it's absolutely beautiful. Should pair nicely.
Reminds me of Freight Sans, which I also have an enduring fondness for, and which also pairs beautifully with contrasty serifs (like the other end of the superfamily, no doubt).
...and Encore is something special, but I do find all the Parachute faces to be rather pricey, though most of them have so many international features they're quite justified...still, 800,00€ always makes me wince a bit.
Freight is a nice one too. Decisions decisions...
Thanks again for your help!
Text or display?
frode, there are lowercase letters to noir now? where can we see a sample!
Can’t you wait till I finish this sucker in year 2020?
Thoughts on Verlag and Scotch Modern together?
I was set on Parisine and Scotch Modern but I fear I could go on for days with this (months, years)
I second the SangBleu recommendation, I've always liked Chalet as well (just haven't found a place to use it yet).
Giorgio Sans is also a great display face, it was designed for T, the New York Times style magazine.
How about some naked power?
How about my Franklin Gothic? I made it originally for British Vogue, and after I finished it, they decided to go with American Typewriter. Bastards…
Tee Franklin is great... Has it been used in any other publications?
Thanks for all the suggestions!
