In case of that story the graphic designer is the bigger fool. (And you can make jokes about everything – about dogs, sand puppies, maw worms, Sarah Palin, but not about cats.)

The best satirization of client-creative relationships I've ever experienced was Chip Kidd's presentation at TypoBerlin in 2009.
He had the audience in stitches, with impeccable comic timing.
