Mmmh … similar feel, different details: see the ‘6’/‘9’. Benguiat’s ITC Bookman is also pretty close.

You're right, too much focused on "153" (which look very close to ITC Souvenir). For "69", ITC Bookman is pretty close for sure...

Another font query: does anyone know which font the bold one is at the top of page, below Typophile's logo, i.e. the font of the words "Numbers (which font)?"

I suppose it could be a little know (outside of Japan at least) Japanese font.
