hey people.
i made a small movie clip,
calling for a moment of silence,
dedicated to the dual casualties of the
current war between israel and palestine.
i created the calligraphy based on the "wilhelm klingspor gotisch" font,
with my own hebrewed version to it, adding slight hebrew serifs called "Okatsim".
i used a red calligraphy ink ("Winsor & Newton") on a smooth surface paper (although the movie has low quality, so the nuances are lost).
i would be glad to show better resolution scans of the calligraphy if you want to.

Thank you Yaronimus, for giving us something beautiful at a moment of horror. Your tribute is very moving.

Very touching, and well done.
I don't know how Israel could tolerate being bombed, but I am very fearful that nothing good will come out of this war. I hope I'm wrong.

let's hope that the two sides will stop this catastrophe and sit around the negotiation table.

Fabulous calligraphy (I particularly like "sorroW")
And brave of you to speak out for non-violence.
I don't like blackletter. If there is one adjective to describe it, I would say "oppressive".
But for your purpose, it is certainly engaging.

A very strong way to make a statement. Very nice. Thank you for sharing this.
