The Ampersand is My Favorite Character

I am very in love with the ampersand. It is my favorite character.
For a long time I loved the lowercase 'g' and then the lowercase 'j.' There was a brief period when I was all about the interrobang but that was short-lived.
Does anyone else love the ampersand?

I've never been a fan of the 'l.' I find it very frustrating to kern and the lowercase 'l' bothers me. A script L can be lovely.

I love things that need a designer's help to improve, and since most ampersands are flawed, I do indeed love it.
The "el" is the village idiot of the Latin alphabet - it needs a brain transplant.
