This mark is in the works for a couple. Emily and Eric, The couple is going to be getting married this fall. They wanted something to symbolize their bond together. Logo will be used on usual wedding stuff, invites, thank you notes, etc.

David, what are you considering for the text part? Typeface?

If anything I read this as two people comfortable with their sexuality. Marriage is about more than sex anyway ... Hrant! ;)

And besides maybe these TWO people are really into DESIGN WITHIN REACH

Face it, Hrant, you ARE a westerner! ;)

Human affection is, of course, part of -- and a major part I'd guess -- but it doesn't mean the whole world has to know.

This mark represents a union. Perhaps not a cuddly schnookums union, but that doesn't mean they don't have that in their relationship. The simply choose not to display it.

You are into PDAs aren't you. ;)

David, I actually think the color is wrong for this. Maybe appropriate because it is representative of a union through marriage, but no appropriate because the shape is begging for something less cuddly.

What about the pantone warm grays? The paper could be a nice textury-tactile parchmenty-colored stuff.

I think the separation should be a little less, if at all, as well. I played with Filosofia, doesn't quite work, but how about a nice Bodoni (Bauer, ITC) or Didot (HTF)?
