Beorcana

Now there is a beautiful, thoughtful submission to the legacy of type.

Oh Carl, you done good boy!

But Michael, do I detect the disease of the calligraphi virus and what is worse -broad edge pen influence no less!
Dreadful :)

Yes, very nice. The light versions are particularly tasty.

This design is just as friendly and forthcoming as the man himself. ;)

Isn't this the second time it's been featured?

Come on Carl, stop hogging the limelight! :^)

It really does deserve a wider audience though, I haven't seen it used anywhere yet. Get Monotype to push it more, like they do with Seb (Lester's) stuff in the UK - it's the least they could do after all the time, care and effort you took to produce it.

Yes, Beorcana back again!
Maybe now even Patty can be converted to the stressed sans!

I got my shots Graham, fortunately they did not work : )

Good to see it back as featured face. I think it actually works remarkably well for the TP-interface.

Hey, this is old hat!
How about a different weight than last time around?
Light would be nice.

Sorry I missed it the first time! That must have been the year I was on a Mars mission : )

Beorcana was the inaugural Featured Face.

Thanks everyone for the comments. Nick, it's true this face was shown before. Do you remember what happened when we showed the heavy weight? Mayhem. Anarchy. People went blind.

Note: all the prices are reduced!

;)

Still not my cup of tea but Carl's poetry in the previous thread made me laugh all over again.

I should add... John McCain seems a fan of the stressed sans, not surprisingly since Optima has been around since the flood and we know he ain't computer savvy. Viva Gotham!

typerror's picture

Why do you call it stressed?

Michael

crossgrove's picture

stressed, contrasting, thick-n-thin, ductus, modulated, all those awkward terms for this category of typeface. Not because it's had it up to HERE. ;)

Just wanted to express my admiration Carl. Just interested in her "stressed" assignation!
