Typeface, certainly not newer than 1965, or there abouts. Thoughts of a custom modification to a 'standard' font could be dispelled looking at the letter 'C'?

Similar to Bottleneck, but that's not it.

Ah, nice. Looks to be in the same bulbous realm as:
Guillotine
Jackpot
Cooper Goodtime
Artone
but, none quite fit the bill. Knowing the time and place this advertising font was used, I'd almost think it was a set of letters available to be traced.
