Hello, can someone confirm that I am not losing it?

Quentin Fiore's famous book of McLuhan, The Medium is the Massage, is regularly credited to using Helvetica. The cover does appear to use Helvetica, but isn't the inside Akzidenz Grotesk? Sample attached.
