Arabic characters are all separate

I downloaded Badiya font from font.com to my mac 10.5.4. The characters are all separate. anyone knows how to get Arabic fonts to work in Illustrator and Photoshop? Thanks.

You need the Middle East version of Adobe applications to work with Arabic. The basic versions do not support right-to-left text.
