Sencilla

diego sanz's picture

Hi. I'm working on sencilla in fontstruct. It's the font with more characters in all the website. It has Latin, Cyrillic, Extended Latin, Hebrew, Greek, Armenian, Coptic, Arabic. If you read or write some of this languages please help me to fix my mistakes. You can see and dowloand it at: http://fontstruct.fontshop.com/fontstructions/show/4701
I forgot to introduce myself. I'm Diego Sanz Salas, peruvian 24 years old. I love typography and Sencilla is my first font.

Thank you

You might want to figure out a different solution for aleph... given that the usual users of that alphabet sometimes have a very high sensitivity to a certain symbol. Just saying.

It's true. I designed aleph before the triangular bricks were added to fontstruct. I'm going to change it in these days. Do you read and write hebrew? Tell me if you find more mistakes

It might just be my monitor, but there's something going on with the straight diagonals, like the legs of the A.

Crazy!

I see a little wave in the A too.

That's an artifact of Fontstruct. I think the rendering on the site is still done with the separate blocks intact, so the slope isn't a continuous line. If that effect carried through to the finished font, it would mean the angles on those blocks don't match, which I hope would be too big a blunder to expect of FontShop.

Yes, it's true In the site it works with separate blocks. But when you use the font in Illustrator, for example, the final outline makes a continuous line.

I've changed the aleph character. What dou you think?

Nice job! Something is fuzzy on the "A".

diego sanz's picture

I've changed the a character. The change is because at small sizes it was too similar to o. The first a is in Sencilla Cuadrada.

Can you see this?

I don't think the flash embedded. All I see is code.

Congratulations! The font is stylish, fresh, legible and appealing. I love the name, Sencilla! Simple but strong, clear but soft. Well done!
