So am I correct that the only way to get a CT font to work on OSX is to buy it from Ascender?

IIRC they’re all bundled with the latest MS Office for Mac.
Good news. Is MS Office something a Mac user would generally have to pay for, or does it come free/bundled with something-or-other? Also, do the fonts perhaps come with other MS apps for OSX, like Word?
For those with Office 2008 for Mac, or Vista installed on their Mac: bundled with the software
For those with Office 2004 for Mac: bundled with an optional Open XML Converter download.
For those without Office, but with a pre-Vista Windows system installed on their Mac: Available via the Powerpoint 2007 Viewer or the Microsoft Office Compatibility pack.
For those who have neither Office nor a Windows version: the CT fonts can be purchased via Ascender F
Florian, this is great! The situation is much more hopeful than I thought.
