This face was used in a NASB I have, an NIV Study Bible, and on the back cover, as pictured, of another Bible I have. Been hugely curious what font it is.

ITC Weidemann looks close.

Yes, that's it exactly, unless it exists in other names...

The Weidemann typeface's original name was Biblica, which was designed for the collaborative publication of a Bible by the German Catholic and Protestant

Yep. I saw that. It's an interesting design, in my opinion, although the italics strike me as little more than a leaned-over form of the regular form...
