As part of my studies i am gathering information about the grid in design and the typographic grid. I need opinions from typographers on their views about a conventional grid approach.
For or Against and why
Greatly appreciate any help
cheers

Wouldnt want to start ranting myself, but Id suggest Ellen Luptons, "Thinking with Type" as a great place to start for information regarding typography and its relation to the grid.

Start off with the basic Robert Bringhurst book.

Then work your way in with Kimberly Elams book on the
grid system.

Least this is how my school puts me through and itss
helped out a lot on my designs over the years.
