This is for a class. I'm creating a splash page for a typography website. please critique Thanks
Pretty nice! Probably use a font with less contrast, maybe blockier, like Charter? And tweak the spacing: "RT", "TY", "RA" and "HY" too loose, "OG" too tight. hhp
I found that the background is overpowering the title. Took everyones advice. I darkened the background. And used a block serif font
I still think the background images overpower the type. I bet you could strip out a few layers and still have a nice piece.
I think the purpose might be better served by focusing on the typography rather than the imagery. Tone down the background some. The metal 'A' is a nice touch.
