[file format] .smi on OSX

Alessandro Segalini's picture

Hello, I have some works stored in a .smi "self mounting image" disk created on MacOS 9.
I have the old Disk Copy 6.33 classic application, but I can't open the file.
I don't have access to a machine running MacOS 9.
Could you please hint me at one OSX utility that does this job ?
Thank you.

Either the Disk Utility application that comes with OS X or Stuffit Expander should be able to open it, if it can't launch on its own.

Thanks, unfortunately not, it says :

It is possible the file may be corrupt if you're getting that kind of error. There may be a solution but someone more expert than I will have to reveal it to you.
