Why is DIN popping up everywhere?

Anyone else notice FF DIN is everywhere? advertisements, magazines, canadian broadcasting corp, CA armed forces, etc.

Is there something I missed that started this trend?

Actually, the trend started about 3 or 4 years ago. It may even be starting to wain by now.

Actually, Chris, you're right about the trend's beginnings, but it's not waning. I should be able to explain it, but I can't.

Either way, people are learning to love Grotesks again, especially DIN and Akzidenz.
