Schriftguß A.-G. fonts: Who is the desginer?

Bleisetzer's picture

I got two cabinets full with types from Schriftguss A.-G.
Wonderful fonts like Supremo, Butterfly, Sper-Reflex.
I know the year of first production (Erstguss) and I already checked the names of the fonts. But I cannot find informations about the designers of these fonts.

Does anybody have some information?
Without it, I cannot print the full character set...
But if you can help, I promise scans within some weeks.

Supremo and Super-Reflex were designed by Arno Drescher in 1930, according to the Jaspert Encyclopaedia of Type Faces.

Butterfly was designed by Willy Schumann in 1927, from the same reference book.

Thank you very much, Mike.
Its a specimen (Hauptprobe) from Schriftguß, right?
I never found it and it would be so senseful for me...

Yes, the book shows 'Schriftguss' as the foundry source. There are some other typefaces shown from this foundry, such as scripts called 'Pentape' (or Originell), 'Marggraff Light Italic', 'Energos', 'Burgund', and 'Aktuell' (or Penflow). 'Butterfly' was also a script. I haven't looked at the other categories, except to find 'Supremo' & 'Super-Reflex', which are Lineales.
