Very solid. Quaint also. (Quibble: it's lettering, not type.) There's a long tradition of illustrator/designers who combine a casual linear drawing style, strong graphic layouts, and casual typographically aware, historicist lettering. A graphic novel could bring the many talents together into something substantial.
