A bold would help sort out the 'random-noise-pixel' I see in the current rendering.
I second the critique of the lowercase 'a' - its ligature pixel shimmies up the baseline and causes reading damage. Flatten that, and give yourself a proper terminal on the 'g' and you've got a nice readable pixel serif.

Really nice one!
I think there's legibility problems with the tail of the lc "a" (see "ab" & "av")
And, what about a bold version?

Thank you, Gregory..
I know that there are still some legibility problems..
( And yes, there will be a bold version too.. Hopefully soon.. )

but why nitpick when pixel fonts are quirky by nature.

Thank you, Christopher..
A tribute to 'Quirinus'..
( 'Quirinus' also is a typeface, created more than 50 years ago, by Aldo Novarese / Nebiolo type foundry, Italy.. )

Hi David,
a google image search for 'quirinus' turned up this diagram http://www.xs4all.nl/~huygensf/pics/blankverd.gif
and this fascinating page: http://www.xs4all.nl/~huygensf/blankenburg.html
(this is Dutch, right? I can't read it but the graphic is awesome.)

is this your inspiration? cause I like yours better.
p.s. Is there a full face to accompany your typophile picture 'D'?

Nice..

No, the inspiration for mine was the original ( non digital ) version, from Nebiolo..
( I dont really like the bolder, digital Adobe one.. )
Is there a full face to accompany your typophile picture 'D'?..
