I created this font and I want to know your critics on this work.
This is pretty cool.
(Great name too.)
The first hairy font I've ever loved.
Lovely. I see the light trails of fairies and fireflies.
As Paris Hilton would say... that's hot.
Normally, i'm not a taker for this kind of stuff, but this looks so well done and convincing – congrats.
Mike, I think the current hip qualifier is "sick".
How many points per glyph? I know this is a short headline face but was curious about the overhead.
hrant> ahahahhahahha good one. Sick indeed. 'Nasty' and 'Pro-Nasty' are also in heavy use.
Whatever happened to groovy? :-)
Wow, that was really, really nice. I would love to use it sometime.
Could I ask you, since I am doing a font that also must be built up with thousands of points on each glyph – how did you do it? =)
I recently posted this thread:
For me it seems impossible to make a user friendly font when the font has a lot of points. On the other hand I have seen fonts that carries over thousand points on each glyph, so I guess I must be doing something wrong?
Is there some tips you could share, I would be very grateful.
Thanks, and once again - VERY cool typeface you did.

FABRIKA DE TYPOS
This font was created using several techniques, collages, ribbons, ink, among others.
Soon it will be available in my site a version demo.
I inspired for creation in music of the Belgian band POESIE NOIRE.
I am developing other types and abbreviation I will post.
FABRIKA DE TYPOS
Thank you for the praises done for my font.
I didn't get to visualize your font.
I want that sends a sample for my email;
So that it can visualize and to do my comments.
I await your contact.

Brazilian typographers rock!
I love it.
is there any typografic term for that kind of trails growing out of the letterforms?
Let's make one: effluvia.
Or you could ask Luc[as] de Groot, since he's an old pro at making them.
remindes me of some of the fonts found here:
But of course, it's something different as well.
Recife's another great Brazilian... but more than Porcelain or Selfish it does remind me of Hurricane Supadupa, also quite...er...hairy! Which doesn't mean it's not original.
Marcio: hope to see you guys at the Sao Paulo Bienal de Design Grafico next month!
A "what are you listening to" addendum:
For those who can't get to Brasil, get yourself a Gilberto Gil "Live" CD. He has a great band. A little progressive (from standard samba and bossa-nova, etc), but it is accessible to anyone who can recognize good cookin'.
Thank you for the praises.
I will be yes in the Biennial of Graphic Design of ADG, for who comes he will see great works of the Brazilian designers.
Eduardo Recife is really a lot a great fonts designer, taste of his work.
Abbreviation will be including new fonts drawings.
Omg that's gorgeous...! (And actually, Paris Hilton would now say «that's sexy». She announced that she was dropping «that's hot» for «that's sexy». Hahaha! :DD)
Ruben David Marques
For those not familiar with Brazilian design, there's a great book called Brazil Inspired (Die Gestalten Verlag) which features some of the best from this great country (but not all of them). Gilberto Gil is actually Brazil Minister of Culture (when he was elected, there was an article in the Guardian calling him the Minister of Cool...it's like Bob Marley (RIP) being elected Minister of Culture of Jamaica, or something equally...unusual for European standards...maybe not for the American though (see Arnold Schwarzenegger case etc.)
Gilberto Gil is actually Brazil Minister of Culture
Marisa Monte for Minister of Defense!
If the world insists on going to Hell in a handbasket, having a Minister of Cool is the way to go.
True...who said politicians can't be cool? Marcio:sorry for hijacking the thread but I thought it was a good opportunity to promote Brazilian design since I'm in the area right now and I'm enjoying myself MADLY.
BTW...has anyone seen the brothers Campana's new site? That must be the mother of all websites. Check it out at: www.campanas.com.br
> Arnold Schwarzenegger
I don't think that's comparable. Gil knows something about his job.
> who said politicians can’t be cool?
Well, maybe for a week.
Lovely indeed, Marcio.....
It looks to me, especially in the lowercase, that there is a "core" to the letterforms based on Shelley?
From there you added, subtracted, collaged, overlaid ribbons etc, and photographed & cleaned up digitally?....
I see a runway model -- probably Dolce & Gabbana....rather pouty and oblique....with big runway fans blowing wisps of her hair everywhere. What fun!
....oh, it also reminds me of the work of Inez & Vinoodh with Lynn Fox for Bjork's album, Medulla...(hair sculptures and graphics)
That is a very nice font, reminds me of some fonts from misprinted type.
The lowercase e through k look quite light compared to the others, I would be interested to see this in a non-alphabetic example.
This is a beautiful font. The hair lines really make it work. I was wondering if you had named it after that band. I remember hearing them on a radio show. If only I could get the Love is Colder Than Death cd but it's so expensive as an import.
> I inspired for creation in music of the Belgian band POESIE NOIRE.
Yeah, we rock all right! :^D
Lovely script BTW Marcio. Brilliant stuff.
Hello Bvfonts, the music " Love i Colder Than Death " also influenced a lot me in the construction of that type. Poesie Noire's music are extraordinary sources of inspirations.
It is really that, Bald Condesend
wow thats awesome.
'B' is too bold compare to other letters and i cant identify the "H".
its a great font...very nice.
Very nice indeed. I'd love to see it in use.
Just stumbled on this old thread. Nothing much to add to all this except that Lore commented on 11 May last year: … but more than Porcelain or Selfish it does remind me of Hurricane Supadupa ...
Just for your info Lore, the Hurricane Supadupa is nothing but the Porcelain superimposed on the Selfish (or the other way round if you like). Looks like there is a lot of 'borrowing' in these designs.
While you're at it, look at Porcelain and Bickham Script…
True, Oystein, true. But at least Eduardo took the trouble to make some changes before superimposing. G, S, ... That is something else than plain forward superimposing.
But that was not really the point. Just noticed that Lore did not notice that Hurricane Superdupa was nothing but a combination of the 2 fonts she mentioned before. That's all.
Btw the Hurricane Superdupa is not available anymore on type|size=0's site. Now says it is a 'private' font.
