the "M" is a diffent face and is more than likely a "W" in real life.
Norbert: This thought process is derived because of the beginning and ending strokes not being parallel to the baseline, yet the spurs on it are, correct?

I'm quite surprised nobody recognised this one -- Zuzana Licko's classic Triplex.

And it has been squished. Sigh. Some people have absolutely no respect / clue.
John Downer's italic is the best thing -- some even go as far as to say "the only good thing" -- about Triplex. No disrespect to Zuzana -- she earned an unlimited number of bonus points with me, re: her influence on digital type design and the importance of Emigre.
