Hi there!

I know Paula Scher use typography a lot in her work, but did she design any typefaces?
If she did, what is it called? And where can I find/buy/find something similar to it?

Thank you so much in advance! :)

In her TypeCon NY talk she didn't mention designing any typefaces, but did mention the type of stuff she likes to use.

Her book "Make it Bigger" does not mention type design either.

Alessandro:
No, in fact I did not.

I really should, though. Thanks so much for bringing it up! :)

Cheers!

Did she?
Do you happen remember what it is? :)

I watched the Adobe video that features her...
she mentioned about her typography learning days and about how she used to paint her own type onto acetate for the album covers.. but that's about it, really.

"she mentioned about her typography learning days and about how she used to paint her own type onto acetate for the album covers.. "

All of us older pre-computer designers worked this way. Very few took the lettering of a single job further and started to design typefaces (see Lubalin). The process was longer and more involved then. I have just recently begun typeface design after 40 years of just graphic design.
