The thing that bothers me the most is the bottom serif on the lc "c". That, in combination with some awkwardness in some of the curves and inconsistencies in character widths make me veer* to the "hand lettering" hypothesis as well.
Did some additional research, and the only similar face* I could find was MVB Peccadillo(*besides the ones already nailed by Eduardo and Grant of course).

Well, the two "h"s are different.
I'd say this is a lettering job.
There are similar typefaces though, just look for
condensed slab serifs, like this, for example.

Misa, I think its a typeface modifying the serif on the h would take less than 2 minutes in Illustrator. That font seems so familuar. Dan

There is nothing that matches exactly in the Red Rooster library. Here are a few similars though.
