Books about type
I am trying to educate myself a little more about type, so I am looking for some titles that may help me. Anything really, as long as it covers the basics. Also I’d apreciate a recomendation for a good book about type in graphic design.
Thanx in front.

thinking with type by Ellen Lupton. the book is a nice intro to typography if that’s what you’re looking for...

@ Paul: I did, but I was looking rather for recomendations from people here, there is too much to choose from when you search amazon or Typophile.
Thanx for your tips so far. ;)

Maybe the books entry should have a kind of disclaimer at the top, directing people with questions about “starter books” to the triumvirate or even a new entry just with recommendations of this kind? For a first-timer, the books entry might be too complex...

Agreed. I have put in a small note and link. I hve also updated the Triumvirate to say that it’s not just Hrant’s top three intro books, but mine as well. There aren’t many things Hrant and I agree on, but that’s one of them.

Here a few threads with similar questions and many, many suggestions. The Triumvirate is a good starting point for any one who wishes to learn.
