I think you're probably right about it being Transport Heavy, Jock Kinneir and Margaret Calvert's 1963 design for UK road signs.

Cool, thanks. That's pretty sophisticated for Gaza... And I didn't realize the font was available for pubic use.

but seriously(?!), I didn't think about it this morning, they're using the wrong weight.
Transport comes in two weights, heavy for use on a light ground and medium on dark grounds.

I think you're probably right about it being Transport Heavy, Jock Kinneir and Margaret Calvert's 1963 design for UK road signs.
I've always had the impression that Kinneir did most of the font and Calvert did most of the symbols.
