Patrick Giasson took his Royal Family off the market. :(

That’s a great face. Any idea why Stephen?

I thought as much. Thanks Stephen!

hmm Fraktendon seems rather awkward to me, the serifs and blackletter flourishes seem to fight for attention while in the above sans version it has a nicer flow to it.

The caps in Fraktendon is very awkward in my opinion, but I rather enjoy most of the lowercase characters.

No André, this is The Royal Family by Patrick Giasson. I was quite sad to see it disappear as well.

Yes, it is (minus the initial S) Royal Family by Patrick Giasson, originally published by Thirstype some time in the mid-late 90s.
Patrick asked that the collection be taken off the market a few years ago, and we complied with his wishes. I cannot speak to the reasons for his decision, and perhaps he will post in this thread to discuss this choice.

PS: here’s another “de-published” Thirstype font on an album cover: “Hate Note Regular” is used to set “the road and the radio”.

What is the intial cap S in “Styles” from? That would be interesting to know!
Kris.

Looks like an Old English Text cap S from my Speedball Textbook, but again..customized a bit.
