Need to know the typeface used here. I've seen that 'A' treatment around before. Help appreciated.

You think the designer just tweaked the A? I'm sure I've seen the exact thing elsewhere and assumed it was a separate font..

No. Herb Lubalin & Tom Carnase didn't tweak the "A"

The CA and SS ligatures are from Avant Garde Alternates. Technically, it is a separate font. (In ye olde days, of course, it was all one font.)

Just found this... I guess the A is an alternate?
