Second Critique Thursday
To help revive the type sections of the Typophile Critique Forum (and as my first official moderator shin gig), I helped inaugurate »Critique Thursday« last week.
Discussion about the idea for Critique Thursday can be found here, and the list of the featured fonts can be found here.
This week, I’ll shine the spotlight on just two fonts.
The critiquing will take place right here on Typophile, from 1–3 pm Eastern Standard Time (that should be 10 am–12 noon in California, 19:00–21:00 in Central Europe, etc.) on Thursday, August 25.

“This week, I’ll shine the spotlight on just two fonts.”
And the fonts? ( or we know that on Thursday?)

Wish I could make it Dan but that is right in the prime time of my work day.
BTW, do we have archives of last weeks session?

You don’t take lunch?

Chris, Typophile at work must be a touchy subject… I try to avoid it as much as possible during the day, but I do check it (please don’t fire me :( ).
But just about any time is going to be during a lot of work days, I think.
Chris, I don’t have any links, but if you click here (http://typophile.com/node/14678), you can see which fonts were featured. That page has links to all the fonts, and you can see what happened. Is that enough?
David, I’ll post the fonts tomorrow afternoon, Central European Time. That will be right around the start of business day on the East Coast, and before the other coast people wake up, I suspect.

I don’t take a 2 hour lunch—it is about half an hour, then back to the hungry wolves who make lunch out of me.

Well, not to suggest how you use your lunch break, but if everyone made one post on just one of the two threads that will be posted…

Chris, half an hour would be most gracious. Can you type with a pastrami sandwich in one hand? You can always skip capitalization.

There is no archive, but the posts generated during the focused critique session will still be there in the critique threads (as always).
Funny thing about lunch time, because traffic logs suggest those are the peak times. So… we’re pretty sure that people are at least reading over lunch. =)

This weeks critique topics will be:
Serif
Ledbury
and Sans
Puertas Sans

I think it’s good to have a defined time to the critiques so that people can ’dialogue’, but it may be better to drop it if people take it as a restriction. I just posted comments to the selected topics, because I know I won’t be able to participate later.
