Help With H&J's
I’m looking for some guidance and resources to help me adjust H&J’s. I’m working in Quark and do not trust it’s default settings but I’m also not confident i can do a better job so I’m looking for some education. Any help is appreciated.

Typophiles generally prefer to set character spacing at zero (or is it 100%, it’s been a while since I looked at Quark).

You might check out James Felici’s Complete Manual of Typography.
FWIW, I typically set H&Js to something like this:
Word spacing: 75 100 125.
Character spacing: 0 0 0.

thanks for the comments so far. also, i wanted to mention, in case it wasn’t clear, i am setting justified type.
