Haultin by Fred Smeijers

¶ I'd like to know if the Haultin typeface is commercially-available. The second edition of Counterpunch (2011) was set with that newly-designed typeface.
Any news?

I have looked at a good number of places that would seem likely to have this and found nothing - I do not think it is commercially available.

¶ Too bad, Smeijers decided not to release this rare attempt to reproduce one of the typefaces cut by Renaissance man Pierre Haultin. It was a real challenge. I hope we get a Le Bé typeface someday too.

BTW what does it look like?

Good point, Hrant, I only have the first edition that was set in Renard. Would love to see a page scan.

Ran a sample of Haultin through "Find My Font" and Minion Pro Condensed from Adobe came up, interesting.

Love those French types. Will have to see if selling the cat will bring in enough to get the book.
