Very similar to Palatino, but with smaller serifs and a few refinements:

Yeah, Palatino was my first thought until I started to compare them side-by-side.

Could have been a custom job by Joe Finocchiaro:

But I think Alan Fletcher is a better bet:

I also cycled through dozens of Palatino-like faces, and found no good match, so I'm betting it is custom.

I believe the Finocchiaro is the updated riff on Bankers Gothic:

Seems to me you are correct that it was a custom job by Fletcher.
