The logo of BON magazine, what is the original typeface referring to?

Can anyone enlighten me on the logo of BON magazine? What is the original typeface of this logo referring to? Art Deco? Can anyone give me some actual typeface names and examples? Thanks a lot!

Sure feels Art Deco, but I think the regulars in the Font ID section would know a lot more than I ever could.

Actually considering the lack of optical compensation I suspect it's drawn from scratch (although possibly with one eye on Futura).

Looks like a MecaNorma transfertype from the seventies…

It resembles a modified and outlined Le Havre Bold, which in turn is inspired by cruise ship poster type of the 1920s–1930s:
