Star Shaped Font

auroraspirit's picture

Hi, I have been to a few identify typography websites and some can not read all the characters individually and even if they do so, none are remotely similar to the font in which is disclosed below.

Would love to find it.

Thank you for your help.

Closest i can think of is Popstars from Harold Lohner http://haroldsfonts.com/portfolio/popstars/

Might not be a digital font as such. There are a number of clip-art starry patterned letters used on websites, such as this one http://www.clipartof.com/interior_wall_decor/details/Font-Set-Of-Blue-St... which has a similar starry pattern, but placed on different letter-forms. It looks like the same pattern of stars pasted over the outline letters - notice how some land outside the lines. makes me think it is not a font but more a combine technique.

It's a freeware font called Starlight Sans JL by Jeffrey N. Levine [2001]
More info on the designer:

According to the copyright note in the font, this is "Sans Poster Bold JL" reworked with a starry effect. My initial impression is that "Sans Poster Bold JL" is not a rip of another font-maker's work. So here is a link to "Starlight Sans JL" http://www.fonts2u.com/starlight-sans-jl.font
Note that Jeff Levine's website, "Jeff's Fonts & Dingbats" has expired.
