Well, I still play by myself, at home. I only quit music as a career, I don't think there's such a thing as quitting music altogether. I just don't play gigs anymore.
Even in your enibriated state, you are dead on, Adriano! Tell me, did the type do a little dance for you, or did you just see twice as many characters?
Well, come to think of it, I also started my first band when I was 14 years old, so that's 20 years of continuous rocking for you (damn I feel old )
Here's your birthday present: the aptly titled "Coming of the Summer". Just promise me you won't post it on some share & exchange Napster-like website, dude! A lot of hard work and personal money went indo recording that one, and nobody'll want to buy the CD if it's all over the web.
So enjoy and be good!

Man, I've got a wife and two little kids, and we get by with rehearsing twice a week, 3 to 4 hours a rehearsal. I tell ya, it's possible. You should never ever quit music!
Let me know what you think of the song. And don't be affraid to be honest: my little brother for example doesn't like it one bit (then again he's an orthodox hip hop/jazz head, so he generally doesn't like electric guitars ;) ).
You're very welcome, Adriano. I hope it will encourage you to pick up an instrument and start playing music again. ;)
Joseph, I play drums and percussion. Manu, the man in the middle on the band picture, is the Brit-abroad who sings and writes the basic melodies and the lyrics. The band develops these into fully-fleshed songs. I sometimes sing backing vocals, but it's very hard to combine with drumming. ':P
Stephen, there is no such thing as "Belgish", you daft hen! We talk French in Wallony, the southern part of Belgium and Flemish (a sort of Dutch) in Flanders. It would make sense if Manu was Belgian, but he's a Brit, so writing and singing in Flemish would be very awkward for him.

I believe that is Minion, but I'm a bit drunk so I could be wrong.
13 Apr 2003 — 12:38am
It danced around and sang happy birthday to me
14 Apr 2003 — 9:09pm
Yes indeed it was! I'm 22 now!
14 Apr 2003 — 9:11pm
What a shame, it is minion.... it
15 Apr 2003 — 8:21pm
A rocker, I'd say... I was in a rock band for 8 years :D
16 Apr 2003 — 12:11pm
Thanks! Downloading it now (although it will take a while on my dialup).
Don't worry, it'll be safe with me

>I was in a rock band for 8 years :D
congrats, adriano, but aren't you in the band anymore?
;-)
16 Apr 2003 — 1:04pm
No, I'm not... I quit music 2 years ago, because I wanted to pursue a career in graphic/web design. Rehearsing 4 days a week wasn't helping much.
16 Apr 2003 — 11:33pm
What a nice present!
I quite like it, Yves. I will add this to my "waking up" playlist!

What do you prefer: a sweet ballad or a solid rocker? ;)

Well, I don't like it one bit and I'm not an "orthodox hip hop/jazz head." =)
Kidding, Yves. It's nice stuff. Is that your voice? What do you play?
16 Apr 2003 — 4:09pm
I like it. But I think you should sing in Belgish.

I was trying to be funny. I failed.
17 Apr 2003 — 12:49am
You ARE funny, Stewf: I laughed out loud when I saw your reply. (I would never ever have called you a daft hen if it weren't for that =D ).
