Ok, here goes a hint: This font is defined on the foundry site, as 'a typeface with a twist'. The foundry is one of the 'big dogs'.

fabio, i think we are looking for heinrich's italic serif X now. as nikolai confirmed, the y is dtl caspari. btw, i don't have any idea what typeface X is. more hints, heinrich! ;)

i think, this with the
Heinrich, you can't change image in the middle. Give us a new clue, (or at least tell us from which font the x is, before starting on a new...). I don't mind that it takes a while, the fun is to get new clues and finally find it.
