Trying to figure out the main font used in this poster. Thanks!
Reminds me of Othello by Morris Fueller Benton. Main difference is the /L. Some of its modern interpretation: Dhorma, Velvet
Morris Fuller Benton's Othello was released by American Type Founders after the 1934 cataog was issued. The design was popularized in 1967 by the cover of Andy Warhol's The Velvet Underground album. In additions to the two versions mentioned by Ryuk there is an outline version in 24 Outline Display Fonts CD-ROM & Book by Dover/Dan Solo. Somewhat similar PL Fiorello Condensed by Photolettering. For a similar font decorated with spikes see Macbeth.
EDIT: Corrected ATF release date which Jaspert stated as 1896.
A digitization by "Character" of OthelloSolid based on the ATF Othello type or a copy of it purchased by Dan X. Solo. Should be no copyright problems.
Finally, the actual ATF Othello type by M.F.Benton as displayed by McGrew in American Metal Typefaces.
