The original six fonts (three weights with italics) have been expanded to 42 full-featured <a href="/wiki/OpenType" class="wiki">OpenType</a> fonts. Proxima Nova straddles the gap between typefaces like <a href="/wiki/Futura" class="wiki">Futura</a> and <a href="/wiki/Akzidenz%252BGrotesk" class="wiki">Akzidenz Grotesk</a>.
